ABOUT

We are a fresh, semi-professional, low-voice a cappella group, founded way back in 1959 with the aim of making musical excellence at Princeton more inclusive.

Since 1959, we’ve been pushing the boundaries of a cappella at Princeton, prioritizing selectivity of sound over selectivity of anything else. Our infectious enthusiasm and commitment to inclusivity have always been essential to the Footnotes identity.

We’ve recorded and released 30+ albums, spanning decades of music and an astounding variety of genres: from Frank Sinatra to Taylor Swift. Learn more about our music here.

We tour twice a year and have traveled all over the country and the world. We’ve performed for US presidents and fashion designers, at schools and baseball stadiums, and for millions during our time on NBC’s ‘The Sing Off.’ Check out our tours and performances here.

But the Footnotes are more than our accolades. Since our inception, our priority has simply been to be a tight-knit community that loves singing together. Meet our members here.
